Challenge

464 beds community hospital in Downtown Brooklyn, New york witnessed high number of critical patients that needed to be attended in the Intensive Critical Unit (ICU) wards.

With the high number of patients came high number of unforseen code blue situations. Subsequently problems were faced in terms of medical availabilities like disposables, IVs, expert doctors on the shift.

Solution

An enhanced digital and responsive ecosystem that provides a satisfying user experience based on the aspects such as:

  • Simple patient dashboard management system.
  • Al powered alerts proactively given to nurses for risk patients to save.
  • Connects patient vitals in real-time from the hospital beds.

Approach

Personas & Customer Journey

Patients' dashboard is basically accessible to the hierarchy of the workers which is concise to Brooklyn Hospital Centre. Nurses, doctors, healthcare staff, all are assigned to the managerial dashboard to administer patients' vitals and act accordingly.

IA

Starting from basic features to complex ones, IA was prepared based on technical feasibility.

Design Decisions

The colors and fonts are selected based on healthcare industry trends. Relevant illustrations and Venn diagrams are used to depict the data as clearly as possible

Result

Backend and AI engineers began developing algorithms based on the UX design. Minor adjustments were made due to technical feasibility, and the team proceeded with the testing phase.
